1Day 01: Arrive Delhi International Airport – Transfer to Hotel
Our friendly representative will be at the Delhi International airport to greet you as soon as you enter the arrivals area and you will be driven to your hotel in comfort and safety. Delhi is known for its rich and diverse cultures, history and heritage is the ideal place to explore the pulse of India and its people. (Hotel Booked by Yolo India Tours). Overnight stay in Delhi. Note: General Check-in time at Hotel is 12:00 Noon.
2Day 02: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing
The morning begins with a refreshing and delicious breakfast at your hotel. Later you will meet your local guide and start your HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI. This tour is a combination of heritage and culture with a walking and cycle rickshaw (Pedicab). First, you will visit JAMA MOSQUE -the largest mosque in India. In continuation we take a Rickshaw ride (Pedicabs) through the BAZAAR to explore the historical lanes of Old Delhi. We will also visit KHARI BAWLI- Asia's largest spice market. At the end of the rickshaw ride, we move on to RAJ GHAT, the memorial of father of the Gandhi. It is a peaceful place with beautiful gardens and this will mark the end of our HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI. Later we head to BRITISH DELHI (New Delhi), and drive past the official home of the President of India (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and India's highest legislative body the parliament building. Also, visit the Iconic INDIA GATE memorial to 90,000 Indian soldiers who died during World War. Visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and Gandhi Smriti. Overnight stay in Delhi
3Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur (262 Kms - 05 Hrs. Drive)
The morning after breakfast check out from the Delhi hotel and drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at the hotel. After washing and changing we visit Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10 km outside of Jaipur city. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered on a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools, pilgrims come to bathe away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvelous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindu symbols, and ancient quotes. On walls, mythological events are carved and there are idols and images of saints, philosophers, and historians like Buddha, Socrates, Zarathustra, and Confucius. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
4Day 04: Jaipur Sightseeing
Today you go out all day on an excursion, back to Amer fort 11 km outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of the Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture. Enjoy your drive up to the fort passing through some of the oldest houses and temples of the old city. After that thrilling ride, you’ll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvelous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls, and engravings. When touring Amber fort don’t forget to visit 17 century Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. A zenana courtyard is a place you must see. It is a private women’s residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing. After visiting Amer fort, return to the city en route to stop for a picture at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), is a five-story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four-floor stay under the water it is only the fifth floor that is visible. Your next visit is to the glorious City Palace; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipur’s royal family one of the richest in India. for a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship see the superb peacock gate which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW ! Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvelous shawls like the pashmina. In the middle of the place, the complex stands a pink and white marble-paved gallery where the Maharaja conferred with their ministers called the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience). It is here that you will find what is considered to be the biggest silver object on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall. Afterward, you visit Jantar Mantar a gigantic solar observatory with a brilliant display of Indian architecture that shows the scientific expertise that existed in medieval India. It is made up of some 14 most important geometric devices which track the location of stars, measure time, predict eclipses, as well as the earth’s orbit around the sun. It will be a surprise to you when you see that these instruments which the ancient people made of stone can carry out the same measurements of time and the sun’s movements as our modern-day technology. Drive past Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive then that gives you an idea of the look of this five-story building. The Hawa Mahal is beautifully decorated with latticework and has some 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas). Overnight stay in Jaipur.
5DAY 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (260 km - 6 hrs)
After a delicious breakfast drive to Agra. En route, we make a stop to visit 9th Century step well Abhaneri and the ghost city Fatehpur Sikri. Continue drive to Agra. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. The rest of the time is yours you can visit Mehtab Bagh also called Moonlit garden, across the river which stretches over 950 square feet and is aligned perfectly with the Taj Mahal. When you stand within the garden you find a mesmerizing view of the temple of love, almost like a crowning jewel, framed by the trees and hedges that run up to the edges of the river bank. 6DAY 06: Agra - Mathura & Vrindavan - Delhi (220 Kms - 5 Hrs)
Today we wake up early to visit Taj Mahal at Sunrise. Return to the hotel for hot breakfast. After Breakfast check out from hotel and visit Agra fort It is one of the three strategic forts build by Mughal emperors. It enjoyed great prestige and significance when Agra served as their capital. The Mughal treasury was always kept in this massive giant fort. After Sightseeing Drive to Delhi. En route we visit Prem Mandir & ISKCON Temple) (Temples is close between 1200–1600 Hrs), related with birth & childhood of Lord Krishna. Drive to Delhi. Overnight stay in Delhi.
7DAY 07 Delhi - Rishikesh (245 km / Appx 6 Hrs. Drive)
After a Healthy breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Rishikesh. It is on the banks of the River Ganges (Ganga). Rishikesh has purified the mind, body & soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning center for arts, science & culture. Rishikesh is famous for its yoga sessions that are taught here by many yoga experts. Besides the sadhus & saints, a mass of tourists too visits here every year to have a look at this much heard place. If the wonderful scenery & the numerous pilgrimage sites are not enough, Rishikesh also makes some of the most popular adventure sports destinations in India. River rafting, trekking, rock climbing, hiking, etc are some of the activities one can easily opt for. Upon arrival check-in hotel. Later in the evening visit Parmarth Niketan and experience the Aarti on the banks of the river Ganges. Overnight at a hotel in Rishikesh.
8Day 08: Yoga Class with Rishikesh Tour
On this day wake up early in the morning for a meditation class. Thereafter, a one-hour yoga class. After Morning Yoga Class Have your breakfast and after we leave for a Full Day excursion of Rishikesh, a very important Hindu pilgrimage site. It’s also a cluster of Ashrams & temples giving the entire place a spiritual feeling. The ceaseless flow of the river, regarded as Goddess Ganga adds to the beauty & purity of the place. Along the river, the area is filled with thick green forests in the all-mountainous region. We will be visiting Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan, and other temples & Beatles ashrams. Later in the evening drive back to Hotel in Rishikesh.
9Day 09: Yoga Class with Haridwar Tour (25 Kms / Appx 45 Mins Drive)
On this day wake up early in the morning for a meditation class. Thereafter, a one-hour yoga class. After Morning Yoga Class Have your breakfast and after we leave for a Full Day excursion of Haridwar. When the Ganges leaves the mountains & enter the plains, Haridwar is the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely, nevertheless it becomes very quiet & calm here. Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma. It's also one of the major Shaktipeeths. Down the ages, Haridwar has purified the mind, body & soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning center for arts, science & culture. Upon arrival check-in hotel. Later in the afternoon visit, Mansa Devi temple & in the evening enjoy the spectacular view of ‘Aarti’ at Har Ki Pauri. Later spend your time on the Ghat. Back to Rishikesh. Overnight stay at Hotel in Rishikesh.
10Day 10: Rishikesh to Delhi (245 Kms / Appx 6 Hrs Drive), Departure
Morning at leisure. After Breakfast check out from the hotel and we drive back to Delhi. On arrival transfer to Airport. Tour Ends with Sweet memories.
