Itinerary
1DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Namaste! Welcome to India. Your adventure begins with a traditional Indian welcome. The tour includes an airport arrival transfer. This is the private car that will take you directly from the airport to the hotel. Today is programmed as the arrival day so we haven’t included any activities until tomorrow morning.
2DAY 02 DELHI CITY TOUR
Post Breakfast enjoys a guided tour of Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi is one of the best places to observe the great colossal culture and social convergence of old and new. Further, we get transported 400 years back in time for the Highlight of the visit to Delhi. Old Delhi is a world within. Visit India’s largest mosque Jama Masjid is also one of the top ten largest mosques in the world. Later we enjoy a combination of walk and cycle rickshaw ride (Pedicab) to Narrow lanes of Chandni chowk also known as Moonlit square where we witness the old architectural marvel, the lifestyle, and old age practices of the locals, beautifully decorated shops, and of course the Spice Market. At the end of the thrilling ride on the rickshaw, you will take the local metro to New Delhi. New Delhi is quite different from Old Delhi. The city is divided by broad avenues and lined with trees. In New Delhi first, you will visit Gurudwara Bangla saheb where you will learn about the Sikh culture and religion. We continue our discoveries with a drive through the Embassy area the Government buildings (1921-1930) pass the official home of India’s President Rashtrapati Bhawan, the parliament building, and the majestic India gate- a powerful tribute to our brave soldiers. You will end your beautiful day with a heritage walk at Lodhi garden. Lodi garden is a historical landmark and park extending over an area of 90 acres in the heart of New Delhi. The garden contains the tombs of Mohamad Shah and Sikandar Lodi, the rulers of the Sayid and Lodi dynasties of the 15th century. The rest of the day will be completely yours.
3DAY 03 DELHI-JAIPUR (280 KMS / 06 HRS)
After leisurely breakfast you drive to Pink city Jaipur by road, passing through rural villages, Aravalli hills, and agricultural land. Upon arrival in Jaipur check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is completely yours. If you wish to visit some places the transport is available for you and your options are: Galta Ji (Monkey Temple) is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10 km outside of Jaipur city. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered on a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools, pilgrims come to bathe away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. OR Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvelous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindu symbols, and ancient quotes. On walls, mythological events are carved and there are idols and images of saints, philosophers, and historians like Buddha, Socrates, Zarathustra, and Confucius. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
4DAY 04 PINK CITY FORTS AND PALACES TOUR
Today you go out all day on an excursion, back to Amer fort 11 km outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of the Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture. Enjoy your drive up to the fort passing through some of the oldest houses and temples of the old city. After that thrilling ride, you’ll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvelous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls, and engravings. When touring Amber fort don’t forget to visit 17 century Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. A zenana courtyard is a place you must see. It is a private women’s residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing. After visiting Amer fort, return to the city en route to stop for a picture at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), which is a five-story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four-floor stay under the water it is only the fifth floor that is visible. Your next visit is to the glorious City Palace; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipur’s royal family one of the richest in India. for a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship see the superb peacock gate which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW! Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvelous shawls like the pashmina. In the middle of the place, the complex stands a pink and white marble-paved gallery where the Maharaja conferred with their ministers called the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience). It is here that you will find what is considered to be the biggest silver object on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall. Afterward, you visit Jantar Mantar a gigantic solar observatory with a brilliant display of Indian architecture that shows the scientific expertise that existed in medieval India. It is made up of some 14 most important geometric devices which track the location of stars, measure time, predict eclipses, as well as the earth’s orbit around the sun. It will be a surprise to you when you see that these instruments which the ancient people made of stone can carry out the same measurements of time and the sun’s movements as our modern-day technology. Drive past Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive then that gives you an idea of the look of this five-story building. 5DAY 05 JAIPUR- 09th CENTURY STEPWELL-AGRA (280 KMS/ 05-06 HOURS DRIVE)
After delicious breakfast drive to Agra. Enroute we make stop to visit 9th Century step well Abhaneri . Continue drive to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra enjoy a guided tour of Agra fort. Evening will be at your leisure. Overnight stay in Agra.
6DAY 06 AGRA-DELHI BY ROAD (220 KMS /04 HRS) , DELHI- COCHIN (BY FLIGHT)
Today you wake up early to visit Taj Mahal at Sunrise. Return to the hotel for hot breakfast. Later you check out from the hotel. Drive to Delhi through one of the best highway of India. When we arrive in Delhi we will take you to airport to catch flight to Kochi / Cochin (Kerala God’s own country.) Upon arrival at Cochin / Kochi airport , you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in Cochin.
7DAY 07 COCHIN-MUNNAR (140 KMS/ 04 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast enjoys the Cochin tour which includes visiting the St, Francis Church, Dutch Palace, and Jewish Synagogue in Cochin. Also, visit the Chinese Fishing net a major tourist attraction. Later take a road journey to the beautiful hill station of Munnar. Upon arrival in Munnar, Check-in at the hotel. The evening is free to walk around and relax. Overnight stay in Munnar.
8DAY 08 MUNNAR
After a delicious breakfast enjoys a sightseeing tour in and around Munnar. Besides exploring the Tea plantation, you will be visiting Eravikulam National Park: Spread over 97 km, this park holds the largest viable population of Tahr, several other species of rare animals, birds, and butterflies. The park also offers a magnificent view of the Tea plantation. Echo point: This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Tea Museum: This place is the delight of tea lovers, recently opened tea museum which houses curious, photographs and machines each depicting a turning point that contributed to a flourishing teas industry. In the evening enjoy the Kathakali Dance show: Kathakali is the most well-known dance drama from Kerala. The word Kathakali literally means Story Play. The actors rely on hand gestures to convey the story. Overnight stay in Munnar.
9DAY 09 MUNNAR- ALLEPPEY (180 KMS/ 05 HRS DRIVE)
Start your day with an appetizing breakfast at the hotel. Check out and proceed to drive Alleppey. The houseboat cruise starts at 12 Noon. Check-in at the houseboat and cruise along the famous backwaters of Alleppey enjoying the majestic scenery. Witness the sunset on this floating villa. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
10DAY 10 ALLEPPEY – COCHIN (60 KMS /02 HRS DRIVE)
Wake up to the breathtaking views of the backwaters. After breakfast check out from the houseboat and move towards Cochin airport to board a flight for the onwards Journey.
