The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. OR Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvelous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindu symbols, and ancient quotes. Today you go out all day on an excursion, back to Amer fort 11 km outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of the Rajput Akbar army in 1592.
